The road home

I drive a lot. Just for pleasure. Sometimes I'll … drive around the city or the country, kind of trying to get lost basically. You know, just see where roads lead.
Frank Black

Take the back roads instead of the highways.
Minnie Pearl

Those are two bits of advice I’ve been taking lately. And no matter how remote or unfamiliar the particular road I am traveling, that road leads somebody else home. To that person, the road fits comfortably, like an old sweater.

I like trying on those sweaters.

chris, thanks much. About the only thing I did was use a 2-stop graduated neutral density filter to darken the sky in relation to the ground. Some saturation in PhotoShop, but not much.

m2, thanks. sorry to read about your recent loss. Hope you are receiving a supply of grace through this time.

Aloha....beautiful! From one photoblogger to another, I appreciate a great Sky Photo...one of my blogs is Maui Skies. I don't use filters or photoshop though. :-) Blessings, Kuanyin

The colors in this picture are simply amazing. Very nice work. I stumbled on your blog from BE and it kind of scared me when I saw "Elgin", since I live in a small town named Elgin in SC. But yea, I love your photographs.
