An auto negotiates a section of highway 42 in Door County Wisconsin. Why this road takes so many twists and turns is somewhat of a mystery. A chief engineer with a twisted sense of humor? A road crew with too much alcohol in their system?The best explanation I’ve gotten from a local person is that the crew simply paved over existing wagon trails, which took the path of least resistance through the heavily wooded area.
