Purple trillium
We don't seem to have white trilliums here in northern Illinois, but we do have these.

Wow. I love the little island of mahogany red in the sea of green.
This is a wonderful macro shot. I like trillium. They come in white, pink, blue and purple. They grow wild in shady places.
