Spheres of influence?

It's the weekend and that means shopping to a lot of people. I've always been fascinated by the large red spheres that Target stores place in front of their buildings. I suppose it ties in with their "bullseye" logo and branding somehow if you think about it hard enough. I doubt that they act as any kind of terrorist deterrent to keep someone from driving a car bomb into a store, but you never know. Maybe those things are heavy enough.

Oh, I always assumed they were designed as fortification defenses. Very astute of Target Corp. -- you never know when civilization's going to collapse! And when it does, you'll be able to hole up in your local Target and ensconce yourself in a rainbow of bargains ;)

Your style is very pleasurable to my humble eyes. The blurs are perfectly placed, to create enphasis.

These red spheres are endlessly entertaining to my children... I've always thought of them as defense against some crazed mother who just HAS TO GET TO TARGET NOW!!!!

We were entertained a couple weeks ago as we watched a cute teenager (girl) leapfrog the whole row of them in front of our Target. It looked fun and I think we were a bit envious of her joie de vivre!!!
