It’s Memorial Day in the U.S., a day to remember those who gave everything in the service of their country. I am a child of the Vietnam war era. From my first recollections until my junior year of high school, the war was a part of my consciousness.I don’t personally know anyone who died while serving in the military. But I think that’s the point. A few have served and made the ultimate sacrifice so that the many may enjoy the freedoms that this country offers.
For that I am thankful.
