I saw a gracefully soaring visual symphony in the simple shapes of a daylily. The stamen appeared as a musical staff, the anthers as notes sitting on that staff and the pistol as a conductor’s baton.A professional freelance photographer that I hired often in my days as a photo editor/buyer had a tag phrase on his promotional materials: “Simple pictures are best!”
I still agree.

I have been photographing a lot of daylilies lately and this is the best description I have come across to describe their special beauty. Lovely as always, James!
