Try try again
It's not easy filling a birdhouse with twigs, especially if you're a bird of very little brain. Video of Mr. Wren trying to install a twig that just won't cooperate.
My parents had a wren house (built by my brother in cub scouts!) behind their house. I sat one afternoon, watching one wren bring sticks into a house, and another throw them out. I always assumed it was a pair, disagreeing about decor, but who knows......
Jim, that's hilarious - it reminded me of our last dog. I used to give him gift-wrapping tubes to play with - he would put them in his mouth, but couldn't figure out how to get them out the door!
That was great -- I've seen our wrens do the same.

Love that wren video. I think he knew what he was trying to do, just couldn't maneuver it into place.
