The fallen tree amid the bright spring flowers led a long and useful life as a member of the forest. The foreground flowers displayed their brilliant colors throughout the woods for a couple of weeks and then were gone.Which is more valuable: A long, dependable, utilitarian existence or a brilliant but short life span?
